The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada’s Centre for Faith and Public Life (CFPL) in Ottawa has a Law and Public Policy Internship Program for post-secondary students.
Interns are given the opportunity to work with the CFPL team on various public policy and legal issues. Interns are supervised and mentored by the appropriate member or members of the CFPL team; Legal Counsel Faye Sonier; Policy Analyst, Canadian and International Poverty, Julia Beazley; or Coordinator of Public Policy Initiatives and the Religious Liberty Commission, Anita Levesque.
CFPL staff work with each intern to develop projects which align with their interests. Students have an opportunity to research, draft and prepare policy documents for internal CFPL use as well as documentation which may be circulated to EFC affiliates, media and/or policy makers. Interns have the opportunity to attend meetings, events and presentations with CFPL staff.
